Calculator ToolBox

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 5, 2026

The short version

Calculator ToolBox has no user accounts, no database, and no server-side code of its own. Everything you type into a calculator is processed inside your browser and never sent to us — we could not read it if we wanted to. The personal data that does move comes from the third-party services every website relies on (hosting, advertising, and — only on specific tools — a geolocation API and map tiles), and this page lists exactly which ones and why.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for or store names, email addresses, passwords, or payment details. There is nothing to sign up for. We run no analytics service of our own, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Everything runs in your browser

Calculator inputs (weight, loan amounts, and so on) are used for the calculation on your screen and exist only in your browser tab. The whiteboard saves your drawings to your own browser's local storage on your device — they are never uploaded. The keyboard, mouse, touch, refresh-rate, and display testers likewise process everything locally.

Online chess games are exchanged directly between the two players' browsers over a peer-to-peer connection. A public signalling service is used only to introduce the two browsers to each other (it sees connection metadata such as IP addresses, as any internet service does); moves are not stored on a server.

Third-party services

These services process limited data — typically your IP address and standard request headers — as a technical necessity of delivering the site:

  • Cloudflare hosts and serves the site. Like any host, it sees the IP address of every request and keeps short-term security logs. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Google AdSense may display advertisements on this site. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, which may be personalised based on your interests. See how Google uses data from partner sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings or via aboutads.info. Visitors in regions that require it (such as the EEA and UK) are shown a consent message before any advertising cookies are used.
  • ipwho.is is called only when you open the "What Is My IP" tool — that is the tool's entire purpose: it looks up your public IP address and its approximate location and shows the result to you. We do not store the result.
  • Map tiles for the IP location map are loaded from Carto and OpenStreetMap servers, which see your IP address when delivering the map images, as with any image loaded from the web.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies of its own. If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense sets cookies as described above. The whiteboard uses your browser's local storage to keep your drawings on your device; this is a convenience for you, not a tracking mechanism, and you can clear it at any time through your browser's site-data settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data and to object to its processing. Because we hold no personal data about you, such requests will usually be directed at the third parties above — their policies explain how. For advertising data, Google's tools linked above are the effective way to exercise choice. If you believe we can help with a privacy request, contact us and we will do our best.

Children

The site is a general-audience collection of calculators, tools, and board games. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we add features that change how data is handled, we will update this page and its "last updated" date. Significant changes will be visible here before they take effect.
