About this calculator

About this clock

The clock shows your device's current time with live millisecond precision, alongside Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) — the global reference from which all timezones are offset. Your timezone is detected automatically from your system settings.

The display updates on every screen refresh (typically 60 or more times per second), so the millisecond digits advance smoothly in real time.

Stopwatch and timer accuracy

The stopwatch uses the browser's high-resolution monotonic timer (performance.now), which cannot jump backwards even if your system clock changes, making elapsed times reliable to the millisecond. Use the Lap button to record split times without stopping.

The countdown timer accepts hours, minutes, and seconds, and flashes when time is up. Keep the tab open — browsers may slow down background tabs, which can delay the visual update (the underlying end time stays correct).

Note that your device clock itself may drift a fraction of a second from official time; the clock shown here is exactly as accurate as your system clock.
